AUT Shadow a Leader 2024

Jul 18, 2024

On the 25th of June, Netlogix’s Auckland sites welcomed two bright students as part of AUT’s annual “Shadow a Leader” program. Kori Masae, a second-year Bachelor of Business student majoring in Human Resource Management and minoring in Management, Leadership, and Business Law at AUT, along with Xarya Knox, a year 13 student from Saint Kentigern College joined us for the day. This unique opportunity allowed them to step into the shoes of our seasoned leaders and gain firsthand insights into the world of business and transportation.

Kori and Xarya had a packed day, immersing themselves in various activities across our Ellerslie office and Neales Road Warehouse and shadowing leaders within the business to gain first hands experience on what a day in the life looks like. They had meetings with our Group CEO, Chin Abeywickrama, exploring topics ranging from Netlogix's story to leadership strategies, as well as one on ones from various other executives and leaders across the business, each providing their own unique insights to the students.

Netlogix recognises the importance of nurturing the next generation of leaders. By participating in “Shadow a Leader” day, we invest in young talent, providing them with a glimpse of their potential career paths. We aimed to give the students real-world exposure into a fast moving and growing industry, as well as the opportunity to network with executives and young leaders within our business, providing an opportunity to understand how they make a difference and make things happen for our customers.

The “Shadow a Leader” day was more than an event—it was an investment in the future. Netlogix remains committed to fostering such experiences, empowering young minds to shape the transportation industry and beyond. We eagerly look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting the leaders of tomorrow.
